“Saregamapa- Sangeetha Maha Yudhdham” on Zee Tamil had been an all out entertainer since the launch of the channel in Tamil Nadu.
Pyramid Saimira had meticulously gathered all the champion singers of Kids Shows across all South Indian States for a mega Competition to chose the 'Champion of Champions' in this aptly titles “Saregamapa- Sangeetha Maha Yudham”.
14 singers, 8 from Tamil Nadu and 6 from other states took part in the show that had a wide category of rounds to pass by. From A.R. Rehman Hits, Telugu Hits, Kannada Hits, Malayalam Hits, Tamil Folk, Western, Hindi, Comedy to Romantic Medleys the children had to spell out a charming performance every week.
The Best 6 namely Aishwarya and Suvasini from Tamil Nadu, Ajay Bharadwaj and Ohileshwari from Karnataka, Parvathi from Kerala and Sarath Santhosh from Andhra reached the finals.
With their eyes set solely on the grand prize of Rs. 5 Lakh each contestant had practiced and performed rigorously in the finals which consisted of four categories. The four categories for the finals included Semi-classical hits, Golden Oldies, Popular Masala Hits and a duet with the anchor of the show, the young and vibrant Roshni.
Master Sarath Santhosh from Hyderabad emerged as the unchallenged winner with his 4 best scintillating performances in the Grand Finale.
The regular judges for the show Pop queen Usha Uthup and Carnatic sensation Soumya had a tedious time choosing the best among the 14 contestants from the start. The finals had P. Susheela gracing and giving her valuable comments to the participants.
The ambassador for “Saregamapa- Sangeetha Maha Yudhdham”, renowned singer Dr. Balamuralikrishna made a special entry as the special judge and evaluated each contestant throughout the finals.
